One Laptop Per Child

Consumer Product, Education, Computing

The mission of One Laptop per Child (OLPC) is to empower the children of developing countries to learn by providing one connected laptop to every school-age child. In order to accomplish this vision, MIT Media lab asked frog design to explore a $100 laptop for the education markets in emerging countries. With the goal of distributing 100 million computers, the “One Laptop per Child” project has the potential to revolutionize the way the world’s children are educated.

Children are naturally eager to learn. What children lack is not capability, it is opportunity and resources. The tool with which to unlock their enormous potential is the OIO laptop. Put this ultra-low-cost, powerful, rugged, low-power, ecological laptop in their hands and contribute to making a better world.
